I'm a marketing and sales consultant that works with frontier technologies in textiles and how they are applied to new business strategies. The context for this work is open innovation.
Open innovation is an approach to marketing and sales that capitalizes upon intermediaries, like me, who bridge cultural and cognitive differences, translate forms of knowledge and locate new markets for cutting-edge technologies.
I offer my services as a connector of people, products, and methods. I help to locate and implement opportunities within emergent technologies in textiles as they relate to developing initiatives, products, and processes.
My focus is on scanning, gathering and communicating information as well as linking people together and brokering relationships.
As an innovation intermediary, I enable companies to capitalize on opportunities in emergent markets and within changing circumstances. In this way, companies are able to work better, smarter, more efficiently and more competitively.
Through my work, I bring fresh ideas and creative approaches, and I locate new customers to use new technologies, services and/or products. I help teams to view their business from a different perspective and as a result, see the bigger picture.
Also, through a fresh analysis and assessment of previous strategic positions and current opportunities, I scan the landscapes of innovation - across disciplinary boundaries - and connect companies with who and what I find.
Together with a team of talented freelancers and textile industry specialists, I design, develop, implement and evaluate frontier solutions that help companies become more competitive.
My goal is to capitalize on new opportunities through a fresh and innovative perspective in textile manufacturing contexts.
